Day 2:

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will meet your professional safari guide and depart from Gran Meliá Arusha for Tarangire National Park. The journey takes you through traditional Maasai lands dotted with acacia trees, where you may see Maasai herders in their vibrant attire tending livestock, cyclists travelling along rural roads, and donkey carts being used for daily transport. Upon arrival, you will begin your game drive in the park.

Covering nearly 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire National Park is renowned for its impressive elephant population and iconic baobab trees. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through its heart and serves as a vital water source for wildlife throughout the year. During the dry season (June to November), large numbers of animals gather along the river, creating wildlife concentrations comparable to those found in the Serengeti. Thanks to its diverse habitats and permanent water supply, the park supports more than 2,000 elephants and over 500 species of birds, making it one of Tanzania’s most rewarding safari destinations.

In the afternoon, continue your exploration through the southern and central sections of Tarangire, discovering its diverse habitats and abundant wildlife. Day 4:

Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through ever-changing landscapes and offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. As you travel towards the Serengeti, keep an eye out for herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and other animals roaming freely across the plains. This region is also well known for its abundance of predators, making every moment of the drive an exciting wildlife experience.

Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and is home to an estimated three million large mammals. It hosts the spectacular Great Migration, one of the most remarkable natural events on Earth. Covering approximately 14,763 square kilometers, the park features vast open plains stretching to the horizon. Its name is derived from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains,” a fitting description of this extraordinary wilderness. Enjoy a game drive in the route to your lodge, taking in the breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife that make the Serengeti so iconic.

Day 5:

Full Day Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive exploring different areas of the Central Serengeti. This region is renowned for its exceptional year-round wildlife viewing thanks to its large population of resident animals and diverse habitats.

One of the highlights of the day is the Seronera Valley, a wildlife-rich area that forms the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem. The permanent water sources found here attract a wide variety of animals throughout the year, making it one of the best places in the park for game viewing. During the dry season (June to November), wildlife becomes even more concentrated around these water sources, providing excellent opportunities to observe animals in their natural environment.

The area is home to numerous herbivores, including impalas, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, topis, hartebeests, and giraffes, while predators such as lions and leopards are frequently spotted. Enjoy a full day immersed in the breathtaking landscapes and remarkable wildlife of the Serengeti before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will have half day game drive in Serengeti and then after lunch drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for overnight

There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in the Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River.

Its diverse habitats, including open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and freshwater swamps, support an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhinoceros, among many other species.

Following a picnic lunch, depart for Arusha and transfer to either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar.
