Itinerary In Details
Day 1:
Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. After check-in and some time to relax, your mountain guide will meet you for a detailed trek briefing, review the itinerary, and inspect your climbing gear to ensure you are fully prepared for the Mount Meru adventure.

Day 2:
Arusha – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut
After breakfast, drive from Arusha to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park, where you’ll complete registration before beginning your trek. Accompanied by an armed park ranger, enjoy a unique walking safari through lush rainforest, with opportunities to spot giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife. Continue to Miriakamba Hut, where your mountain crew will welcome you with a hot meal and prepare you for the days ahead.

Day 3:
Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut
After breakfast, continue your climb through changing vegetation as the rainforest gives way to heath and moorland. As you gain altitude, enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes. Arrive at Saddle Hut in the afternoon, where you’ll have time to rest, enjoy an early dinner, and prepare for your midnight summit ascent.

Day 4:
Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak – Miriakamba Hut
Your summit attempt begins shortly after midnight, following a steep ridge to Socialist Peak (4,566m). Arrive at sunrise to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru Crater, and the Ash Cone. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Saddle Hut for a short rest before continuing to Miriakamba Hut for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5:
Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha/Moshi
After breakfast, descend through the lush rainforest and open grasslands of Arusha National Park, with another chance to spot wildlife along the way. Upon reaching Momella Gate, you’ll receive your summit certificate before meeting your driver for the transfer back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, marking the end of your Mount Meru adventure.
