You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe after breakfast and begin your scenic journey southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way, enjoy a memorable stop at the Equator for photos and an informative experience before continuing to Mbarara for lunch. The drive takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, with rolling hills, banana plantations, and vast tea estates. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and settle into your accommodation surrounded by lush rainforest. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your selected lodge, ready for the adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the rangers. You will then begin your gorilla trekking adventure through Bwindi’s dense rainforest, following narrow trails that may take several hours to navigate. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact in their natural environment. After the trek, you will return to the starting point and transfer back to your lodge for rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the same lodge, surrounded by the peaceful forest atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. The drive offers scenic views of Uganda’s countryside as you leave Bwindi behind. You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon, depending on traffic and stopovers along the way. This day is reserved for evening departures, allowing flexibility for your flight schedule. If needed, a post-night in Kampala or Entebbe can be arranged upon prior request, marking the end of your safari.
