Leaving Kampala, we’ll drive through the dense jungles and papyrus wetlands of the Nile Delta. We’ll pause for lunch en route to the Kibale National Park, near the towering Ruwenzori Mountains, known as the ‘Mountains of the Moon’. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a guided walk in the national park, exploring the crater lakes area and experiencing the local culture.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure in the lush forests of Kibale National Park. Accompanied by an experienced ranger guide, you’ll track one of Africa’s largest habituated chimpanzee populations while learning about their behavior, the park’s rich biodiversity, and the many other primates, birds, and plant species that call this rainforest home.
Following your unforgettable encounter, enjoy lunch before beginning the scenic drive south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey passes through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, and picturesque rural communities, offering wonderful views of Uganda’s landscapes. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking experience the following day.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Once found, you’ll spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a guided canoe ride. You will later get set for a border crossing journey to Rwanda. You will transfer to Kigali city with the memory of the great rare mountain apes.
