Day 1:

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide from Olitiko Safaris and transfer to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge or explore the vibrant city before your safari begins. Known as the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, Arusha is a lively city nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. It serves as the perfect starting point for your unforgettable wildlife adventure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Gran Melia Arusha as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2:

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, its main source of water and a vital lifeline for wildlife during the dry season.

Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the riverbanks, along with giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of predators such as lions and leopards. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, hosting one of the highest bird diversities in the world, set against a backdrop of ancient baobab trees that can be over a thousand years old. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park during your game drive before continuing with afternoon wildlife viewing. Later in the day, proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Acacia Farm Lodge.

Day 3 :

Karatu to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and ascend into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic views along the way. You may pause to admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before continuing your journey across this protected landscape. From here, you will drive into the southern plains of Serengeti National Park, entering one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Serengeti is renowned for its vast open grasslands, offering exceptional game viewing throughout the year. It is especially famous for the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route as you continue wildlife viewing. In the late afternoon, arrive in Central Serengeti and settle into your premium Nyota Luxury camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, you will spend a full day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park on exciting game drives. Serengeti also offers excellent chances of spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural environment. You will enjoy either morning and afternoon game drives with a return to camp for lunch, or a full-day experience with a picnic lunch in the bush. Every moment in the Serengeti delivers unforgettable scenery and remarkable wildlife encounters. In the evening, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Serengeti National Park and journey to the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic wildlife viewing along the way. Descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive with a picnic lunch. This remarkable natural wonder is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and over 500 bird species. The crater Also offers one of the best chances in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino in its natural habitat. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
