You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and begin a scenic drive of approximately 9 hours to Kibale Forest National Park. En route, you will enjoy a lunch stop along the way while taking in Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge and enjoy a late dinner overlooking the tranquil views of the Kibale Forest.

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing on safety and chimpanzee tracking procedures before heading to the forest starting point. You will then embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience through Kibale Forest, returning afterward to your vehicle at the forest edge and continuing to Isunga Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, where you will discover diverse birdlife and other primates in their natural habitat.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying spectacular views and opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and other wildlife along the way. In the afternoon, you will relax over lunch in Kihihi town or take a short walk through its lively local market for a cultural experience. The journey then continues toward Bwindi, preparing you for the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure ahead.

After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the ranger guides before setting off with packed picnic lunch for your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek may take up to four hours or more as you hike through the dense, mist-covered slopes of Bwindi in search of the mountain gorillas. Once located, you will spend a precious hour observing their behavior and taking photographs in their natural habitat. After the experience, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening with optional activities such as canoeing, boat rides, and community visits.

After breakfast, you will begin your long scenic drive back to Entebbe or Kampala, carrying unforgettable memories of the rare mountain gorillas. You will enjoy lunch en route with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for a memorable photo opportunity and water experiment demonstration. Continue the journey with views of Uganda’s beautiful landscapes before arriving in Entebbe in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport at approximately 6:00 pm for your onward flight, bidding farewell to the Pearl of Africa.
